Law enforcers identify those killed in Chechen CTO

During the counterterrorist operation (CTO) conducted in the Achkhoi-Martan District of Chechnya, natives of Ingushetia and Dagestan were killed, the Ministry Internal Affairs (MIA) has reported today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the evening on March 20 in the above district, in a forest near the village of Bamut, near the border with Ingushetia, four men were killed in an armed skirmish with law enforcers.

All the four casualties have been identified, a source from the Chechen MIA told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent today. "Three of them were residents of the Malgobek District of Ingushetia, and the fourth one was a resident of Dagestan; the oldest of the criminals is 33, the youngest – about 20 years old," the source said, adding that submachine guns, hand grenades and a sniper rifle were found on the killed militants, which, in his opinion, indicates that the bandits intended to commit terror acts.
