Serzh Sargsyan says he resigns after protests in Armenia

Serzh Sargsyan has worked only six days as the Prime Minister of Armenia. Today, he has released his statement in which he acknowledged his mistakes and right position of opposition leader Nikol Pashinyan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 17, Serzh Sargsyan, the former President of Armenia, was elected the Prime Minister of the country. Today, he has announced his resignation.

"Nikol Pashinyan was right, while I was wrong. There are several ways to resolve the situation, but I will not follow any of them. They are not for me," commented Serzh Sargsyan on his resignation as quoted by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Serzh Sargsyan has noted that he addresses his message to those "who day and night stand on the streets with the appeal: 'Reject Serzh!'."

"For the last time, I am addressing the people as the head of the country ... I am leaving the post of the country's leader, the post of the Prime Minister of Armenia. The street movement opposed my election to the post of the Prime Minister. I fulfil your demand," said Serzh Sargsyan as quoted by the "NEWS.am".
