Source calls "honour killing" one of the versions of girl's murder in Khasavyurt

The man detained on suspicion of killing a salesgirl in a pavilion in Khasavyurt is her brother; and the crime has all the signs of an "honour killing", a law enforcement source has reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 25, a salesgirl born in 1992 was stabbed to death in a shopping pavilion located in Buynaksk Street in Khasavyurt. On suspicion of committing the murder, a 25-year-old resident of the Kizlyar District of Dagestan was detained, who, according to the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), gave confessions during questioning.

The detainee is a girl's brother; and the crime has signs of an "honour killing", the above source told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent on April 27. "The crime was committed because of an intra-family scandal. Perhaps, the brother disliked his sister's lifestyle, "he said.

There is no official confirmation of this information yet.

An employee of the Dagestani Investigating Department of the ICRF told the "Caucasian Knot" that so far the circumstances of the crime are not being disclosed, same as the possible motives for the murder.
