Father of schoolboy killed in Tbilisi demands to detain all guilty persons before end of week

A father of one of the teenagers killed in Tbilisi demanded to detain until June 10 the people who killed his son and law enforcers who covered them up. The man threatened to continue protest actions demanding a change of power in the country.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that starting from May 31, Tbilisi hosts the protest action "Do not Kill!" held in front of the Georgian parliament building. Protestors explain their action by the unfair court's decision in the case on the murder of two schoolchildren. Some of the protesters demand the resignation of the government, while others rejected political demands.

On June 4, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili invited the father of the murdered teenager to a meeting, and the father insisted that the Prime Minister should also meet the father of Temurlan Machalikashvili, who was shot dead during a special operation in the Pankisi Gorge.

Later, the head of the Georgian government held two separate meetings with Zaza Saralidze, the father of the murdered schoolboy, and Malkhaz Machalikashvili, the father of Temirlan Machalikashvili, who was killed during a special operation in the Pankisi Gorge.

After the meeting, Zaza Saralidze said that he would continue the protest actions "to destroy the whole system" if he did not see any active actions on the part of the authorities during the other several days, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

"Until June 10, law enforcers should detained all guilty persons, including murderers, those who covered them up, who issued instructions to destroy material evidence and who put pressure," the father of the killed teenager said.
