Five people injured by explosion at fuelling station in Chechnya
One of the five people injured in the explosion at a car fuelling station in the Shelkovskaya District of Chechnya was hospitalized, the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) has reported.
A source from the MfE reported on four victims of the explosion of fuel tanks at the fuelling station in the village of Shelkovskaya on June 28. The fire happened at the station that covered the area of about 800 square meters. The buildings of the station and the nearby car service centre are completely destroyed.
"In total, five people were injured in a fire and explosion of underground tanks with fuel. One of them, who received burns of moderate severity, was hospitalized," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told at the MfE.
"The main version of the accident is a violation of safety rules when carrying out work at the fuelling station," the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has stated.
