In Dagestan, relatives of disappeared girl voice out abduction version
In Kaspiysk, for the fourth day, law enforcers and volunteers take part in a search for a disappeared girl. Relatives suggested that the child had been abducted.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 29, an 8-year-old girl disappeared in Kaspiysk. She went to a store to buy bread and never returned. The Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has instituted a criminal case under Article "Murder of a minor".
Family members of the girl believe she could not escape from home or get lost. On July 31, the girl's mother appealed to alleged kidnappers with a request to return her daughter. "Please, return my daughter if you took her for ransom," said the woman as quoted by the channel "Youth of Dagestan" in YouTube.
The girl's family members did not receive any threats. "I cannot put forward any version. We are not aware of the motives. The husband of my daughter works for the road service as an engineer. He does not have any relations with the law enforcement bodies," said a grandfather of the schoolgirl as quoted by the" Youth of Dagestan" on August 1.
"Several eyewitnesses noted they saw the girl near the 'Andji-Arena' Stadium in Kaspiysk. Those people say there were some men with the child at that moment," the "Komsomolskaya Pravda in Northern Caucasus" reported on July 31 with reference to a source from the law enforcement bodies of Dagestan.
The search for the child continues for the fourth day. According to the ICRF's Investigating Department for Dagestan, "more than 2000 people are involved in the search activities," including policemen, rescuers from the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE), and volunteers.
