In Kuban, social network user fined for demonstration of Nazi symbols
A resident of the Korenovsk District was fined for posting images with Nazi attributes and symbols on a social network page, the Prosecutor's Office reported.
According to the prosecutors, a 31-year-old social network user posted more than 20 drawings and photographs with forbidden symbols in the public access to the Internet.
An administrative case was initiated under Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (propaganda of Nazi symbols). The social network user was fined, and the materials were deleted from the page, the Prosecutor's Office for the Krasnodar Territory reported on its website on August 27.
The Federal Law "On perpetuating the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" prohibits the use and demonstration of any form of Nazi attributes or symbols as an insult to the multinational people and the memory of the victims suffered in World War II.
The amount of the fine is not reported, but the article provides for citizens a maximum fine of 2000 roubles.
