Over 500 law enforcers take part in anti-terrorist exercises in Dagestan

They mastered actions aimed to curb a terror act on water transport means in the Caspian Sea.

According to the Border Guard Department for Dagestan of the Russia's Federal Security Service (known as FSB), on September 5, more than 500 employees of power bodies trained their actions in the event of a terrorist threat.

The law enforcers neutralized a group of conditional terrorists and released 15 "hostages" – crew members of a vessel, the RIA "Dagestan" reports with reference to the press service of the above Department.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 3, the Southern Military District (SMD) began its exercises in the Volgograd and Astrakhan Regions, as well as in Dagestan and North Ossetia.
