Nurmagomedov suspended from UFC fights
The Nevada State Athletic Commission has disqualified the Dagestani fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov and his rival Conor McGregor for 10 days because of the brawl that broke out after their fight in Las Vegas.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 7, at the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) 229 tournament in Las Vegas, the Dagestani fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov defeated the Irishman Conor McGregor in the fourth round and retained his champion's belt in the lightweight category. However, immediately after the fight he jumped out of the octagon (ring) and provoked a brawl. Nurmagomedov apologized for the incident after the fight.
On October 10, letters were sent to notify the athletes of their ten-day suspension, with reference to Bob Bennett, the Executive Director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, the "MMAjunkie" Internet resource reported on October 11.
According to the resource, whose message was translated by the "Caucasian Knot", the athletes' disqualification term will be counted from October 15.
At the next sitting on October 24, the above Commission will vote on whether athletes should be disqualified for the entire duration of the investigation, the ESPN reports.
