Social network users treat the idea to transfer two districts of Chechnya to Stavropol Territory as provocation

The board of the inter-regional public organization named "Caucasian Cossack Line" has appealed to the leadership of the Stavropol Territory with a call to restore the historical justice and return the Naur and Shelkovskoy Districts of Chechnya to the Stavropol Territory.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 26, Ramzan Kadyrov and Yunus-Bek Evkurov signed the agreement on securing the border between Chechnya and Ingushetia. From October 4 till October 17, Magas hosted a round-the-clock mass rally against the change in the border with Chechnya. Protestors demanded the referendum on the issue of the border and the resignation of the republic's leader.

"The initiative of Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of the Chechen Republic, to establish a new Ingush-Chechen border has been fully supported by the leadership of the Russian Federation. This fact gives grounds to the executive and legislative authorities of the Stavropol Territory to initiate the process of changing the borders with the Naur and Shelkovskoy Districts of the Chechen Republic, which were earlier parts of the Stavropol Territory and ... transferred by Nikita Khrushchev to Chechnya in 1956. To restore historical justice and stabilize the situation in the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD), these districts should be returned to the Stavropol Territory," says the appeal posted by Alexander Kiselyov, an activist of the "Caucasian Cossack Line", in his blog on the "Cont.ws".

Users of social networks have noted that such appeals should be regarded as provocations with signs of extremism.

Some users believe that the initiators of the transfer of the Naur and Shelkovskoy Districts of Chechnya to the Stavropol Territory should be brought to justice. "It smacks of extremism," says Ruslan Yandarbiev.

"All these provocateurs should be found and arrested under the article on interethnic enmity; and let them answer according to the laws of the Russian Federation. The Chechen Republic is indivisible; and no one will ever dare to attack our lands," wrote Imran Mezhidov, a Facebook user.
