Grozny residents reveal scheme obliging them to visit "Akhmat" FC match
On October 28, Grozny hosted a match between the teams of the "Akhmat" and the Moscow "Dynamo" FCs in the Russian Football Championship. The match was held with enhanced security measures. Students had to attend the match under the threat of non-admission to the tests.
Grozny students told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that they were obliged to attend the match.
"Everybody is warned that the turnout is obligatory, and anyone who fails to come faces non-admission to exams and tests. Participation in all rallies and other events is a kind of student duty. All that remains is to accept the above to not create problems for oneself," said student Rasul.
In Grozny, students have repeatedly reported being obliged to attend matches. So, they complained that on October 7, they had to visit a match between the teams of the "Akhmat" and "Anji" FCs under the threat of non-admission to the exams.
Ruslan, a former employee of a Grozny technical school, has noted that part of the stands at the "Akhmat Arena" Stadium, designed to accommodate 30,000 people, were empty.
"A certain sector at the stadium is assigned to each university and organization, and tickets for it should be sold out. A manager will follow instructions and will either buy tickets assigned to his organization or will send people there," Ruslan explained.
