Evkurov doubts decision of Ingush CC on border with Chechnya

The decision of the Ingush Constitutional Court (CC) does not cancel the border agreement with Chechnya, as it has entered into force, Yunus-Bek Evkurov, the head of Ingushetia, has stated. In his opinion the CC of Russia should settle the issue.

Earlier today, the Ingush CC declared the law on the border with Chechnya unconstitutional.

If the law on the border with Chechnya is recognized as unconstitutional, the CC will oblige the Ingush Parliament to correct it, the lawyers interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" have stated.

According to Evkurov, the authorities of Ingushetia will appeal to the Russian CC "in order to avoid disagreements and unnecessary disputes in our republic and with Chechnya."
