Participants of pickets in support of Ingush residents detained in Saint Petersburg
At least nine Saint Petersburg activists were detained in the city centre during pickets in support of Ingush residents protesting against the agreement on the border with Chechnya.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 30, the Constitutional Court of Ingushetia recognized the law on the border with Chechnya as contradicting the Constitution. On November 27, the Constitutional Court of Russia should decide on the issue.
On November 26, in the centre of Saint Petersburg, participants of the protest action were detained with the use of force, the "OVD-Info" reports.
Oppositionist Vladimir Shipitsin reported that Roman Samoilov, one of the picketers, was taken to hospital. Besides, all the posters were seized from the detainees.
