Armenia: contract soldier dies from gunshot wound
In one of the military units of the Armenian Ministry of Defence (MoD), a contract serviceman was killed in his combat position. A criminal case has been initiated.
His body was found on December 1, at about 8:50 p.m. in the combat position of one of the units of the Armenian MoD with a gunshot wound in the chest area.
The contract soldier, Gor Agvanovich Sarkisyan, born in 1987, had served for the Armed Forces since 2016, the "newsarmenia.am" reported on December 2.
A criminal case has been opened by the Investigating Committee of Armenia, the VKontakte Armenian Military Portal group reports.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that on July 24, a private of the Armenia Armed Forces received a mortal wound in his head when at the combat position of one of the military units and died.
