Russian serviceman detained after killing woman in Gyumri
Policemen have detained a military serviceman from the Russian military base, located in Gyumri, suspected of committing a murder, the General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) of Armenia has informed.
The name of the detainee has not yet been disclosed, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by the GPO's press service.
According to investigators, at night on December 3, a 57-year-old woman-resident of Gyumri was hospitalized with a traumatic brain injury and a closed trauma in the chest area. The woman fell into a coma and soon died. The case was opened under the article of "Intentionally causing grievous bodily harm, causing the victim's death by negligence", Naira Arutyunyan, the head of the press service of the Armenian Investigating Committee, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent on December 3.
The "A1+" informed on December 3 that the attack was committed on a janitor-woman, who sweeps the street.
Let us remind you that Valery Permyakov, a former soldier of the 102nd Russian military base in Armenia, is serving a life sentence for the massacre of seven people in Gyumri.
