Mass namaz on Nazran casualties held in Magas

Participants of the mass namaz (prayer) held in the city of Magas, the capital of Ingushetia, in memory of Muslim Khashagulgov and Ilez Khaniev killed on December 12 in Nazran. The funeral of Khaniev, who had no close relatives, is organized by volunteers.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that members of the Council of Teips sent a request to the Prosecutor's Office demanding to objectively investigate the incident in Nazran and declared the republic-wide mourning for the casualties.

On December 12, an explosion occurred at the "Kovcheg" Shopping Centre. According to sources, the alleged militants threw a grenade at the policemen, wounding two of them; two attackers were shot dead at detention. According to eyewitnesses, an activist Muslim Khashagulgov, who worked for the security of the shopping centre, and a seller Khaniev were killed.

"The Imam told the audience about the value of human life in Islam and the inadmissibility of causing harm to Muslims," the journalist Isabella Evloeva wrote on the Facebook.

She has noted that "the republic-wide namaz means disagreement of the republic's residents with the official version of what had happened." According to law enforcers' version, Khashagulgov and Khaniev attacked fighters of the "Rosgvardia" (Russian National Guard) during the detention.
