Policeman wounded at shelling in Ingushetia dies

The law enforcer, who received a gunshot wound during the shelling of the car of Ibragim Eldjarkiev, the head of the Centre for Combating Extremism (CCE), in the Sunzha District of Ingushetia, has died in hospital.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 12, the car of Ibragim Eldjarkiev, the CCE head, was shelled; and three policemen were wounded; they were operated on the same day.

Doctors could not save one of them; he died in the intensive care unit, the TASS reported on January 13 with reference to the Ingush Republic's Clinical Hospital.

“Two other (wounded policemen) are in the concomitant injury unit; their health state is of moderate gravity," the RIA "Novosti" quotes a hospital source as saying.
