In December 2018, nine persons fell victim to armed conflict in Northern Caucasus
At least nine people suffered during the ongoing armed conflict in Northern Caucasus in December 2018. Six of the victims died and three were wounded. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from open sources.
In December 2018, in Ingushetia, six people fell victim to the armed conflict, three of them were killed and three were wounded. Two alleged members of the armed underground were killed during detention; and two law enforcers were wounded; one civilian was killed as a result of an attack committed by unidentified persons, another civilian was wounded.
In the Stavropol Territory, two alleged members of the armed underground were killed at detention.
In Dagestan, in the course of a counterterrorist operation (CTO), an alleged member of an illegal armed formation (IAF) was killed.
In Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, North Ossetia-Alania and Chechnya, no victims of the armed conflict were recorded in December 2018.
