Chechen woman apologizes for trying to help her son living in Europe

To help her son living in France, a woman from Achkhoi-Martan tried to send him a fake medical certificate about his alleged beating by Chechen law enforcers, reported the Chechen State TV and Radio Company (ChGTRK) "Grozny" on January 15. The woman herself and her relatives apologized to the authorities of the republic on the air of the TV Channel.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that residents of Chechnya repeatedly made public apologies. So, on November 25, 2018, a resident of the Avtury village apologized on the TV air for posting a video clip criticizing doctors.

On January 15, in the night news, the ChGTRK "Grozny" showed a story reporting how female relatives of a Chechen native living in France planned to send him a fake medical certificate about his alleged beating by law enforcers.

According to the TV show, also posted on the ChGTRK "Grozny" YouTube channel on January 15, the man living in a dormitory needed a medical certificate to improve his housing conditions.

On the air of the TV Channel, Kkhokha Vadaeva, a resident of Achkhoi-Martan, said that her son had been living in France since 2016. "People advised him to get such a medical certificate to improve his situation ... He needed it to get an allowance to improve his situation. I did that without thinking over ... I know that was wrong. I repent about my act," said the woman (her statement was translated into Russian by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent).

The "Caucasian Knot" has no information on whether the Kkhokha Vadaeva's son had been beaten and whether law enforcers had been involved in the incident.

According to authors of the TV story, the fake medical certificate was seized before it could be taken out of Chechnya.
