Over 3000 Russian militaries took part in exercises in Abkhazia

Abkhazia has hosted exercises of the personnel of the Russian military base. The servicemen have mastered reconnaissance of transport routes and ensuring the anti-aircraft and anti-sabotage defence.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in December 2018, about a thousand Russian and Abkhaz militaries conducted joint exercises at the "Nagvalou" and "Tsabal" training ranges.

The exercises involved over 3000 servicemen, who concerted their military actions, in particular, in the reconnaissance of traffic routes and the provision of air and anti-sabotage defence.

The exercise also involved more than 300 pieces of equipment, including T-72B3 tanks and "Tiger" armoured vehicles, while the military actions were supervised by UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles), the "Interfax" reports.
