Social networks users disbelieve NAC's message about killing militant in Dagestan

The information that the person killed during the counterterrorist operation (CTO) in Belidji was a militant and had an explosive device on him is false, social network users have suggested. While expressing their mistrust to law enforcers, they referred to the resonant murder of Gasanguseinov brothers.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 19, the CTO regime operated in the outskirts of the village of Belidji in the Derbent District of Dagestan. The Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) reported the killing of a militant who was preparing a terror act.

Social network users have doubted the truthfulness of this report. "Whoever is caught, he is announced a terrorist; and trotyl with weapons is very easy to plant," wrote Said Abul on the Facebook.

"How long more will you destroy the youth? A belt, a bomb – it's all lies! You killed and then seized an entire arsenal fro the innocent shepherds, too," Nazim Musaev wrote.

On August 23, 2016, during a CTO in the Shamil District of Dagestan, Nabi and Gasangusein Gasanguseinov, aged 17 and 19, were shot dead. Law enforcers treated them as militants, but their fellow villagers stated that they were peaceful shepherds.

Other commentators on the Facebook not only questioned the credibility of the NAC's message, but also expressed condolences to casualty's relatives.
