Residents of Chechnya explain new Daudov-Abdurakhmanov dialogue by authorities' perplexity
Magomed Daudov, the speaker of the Chechen parliament, and the blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov, during their dispute over who is responsible for extrajudicial executions in the republic, interrupted each other and accused of hypocrisy. The new discussion with a blogger was treated by residents of Chechnya as a failed attempt to take revenge after the past discussions.
The dispute of Djambulat Umarov, the Chechen Minister for National Policy, with the blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov about Akhmat Kadyrov's calls for jihad forced Ramzan Kadyrov to explain his father's words. Then, Umarov refused to continue the debate. On March 8, Magomed Daudov entered the dialogue with the blogger.
Abdurakhmanov turned out to be more convincing in his debate with Daudov, users of the YouTube have concluded, expressing hope that Kadyrov would continue the dispute with Abdurakhmanov.
In his dialogue with the blogger, the speaker tried to avoid answering uncomfortable questions. Speaking about his participation in the battles on the side of the militants in the second military campaign in Chechnya, Daudov said that this was a forced move.
The Daudov versus Abdurakhmanov debate was an attempt to take revenge for Umarov's failure in trying to whitewash Akhmat Kadyrov, residents of Chechnya interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent believe.
"The National Policy Minister failed his debate with Tumso; and Kadyrov clearly didn't like it; especially in terms of his father's call for jihad," said Movsar, a resident of Grozny.
Tumso presents facts, and his opponents mostly have a set of propaganda clichés, said Roza, an NGO activist.
The debates with Abdurakhmanov failed to give the result, expected by the authorities, said Aslan, a student. "In fact, authorities have played for Tumso. His name is now well known in the republic and beyond. He is telling the truth; and his popularity has reached unprecedented heights," Aslan has concluded.
