Kadyrov's relative heads Chechen centre for training special forces

On March 25, Abdul-Kerim Kadyrov, a cousin of the head of Chechnya, was appointed the head of the "Rosgvardia" (Russian National Guard) Department Training Centre.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 30, 2018, Ramzan Edilov, a fellow villager of Ramzan Kadyrov, was appointed to the post of the head of the extra-departmental security of "Rosgvardia" in Chechnya.

"Lieutenant Abdul-Kerim Kadyrov has been appointed as the head of the "Terek" Training Centre of the SOBR (Rapid Deployment Police Task Force). He is a SOBR officer; established himself only positively; and is a professional in his field," a source from the "Rosgvardia" Department for Chechnya told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent today.

The 28-year-old Abdul-Kerim Kadyrov is a cousin of the head of Chechnya on the paternal side, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

In his turn, today, Ramzan Kadyrov has congratulated Abdul-Kerim Kadyrov on his appointment, calling him a "dear younger brother."

Almost the entire management and supervisory system in Chechnya is looped on Ramzan Kadyrov and his close people. According to estimates by the BBC Russian Service, out of 158 high-ranking officials in Chechnya, 30% are Kadyrov's relatives, 23% are his fellow villagers, and other 12% are friends of the head of Chechnya and their relatives.
