Ingush activist holds anti-corruption picket in Moscow
After detention of protesters in Ingushetia, an activist, Batyr Bogatyryov held a solo picket in Moscow, demanding paying attention to the absence of struggle against corruption in the republic.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that after searches and detentions of Ingush activists, the protest leaders, Akhmed Barakhoev and Musa Malsagov were sentenced to 10-day arrests. Another activist, Malsag Uzhakhov, was fined by 150,000 roubles. Zarifa Sautieva and Ismail Nalgiev were fined by 20,000 roubles each. Activists said that the whereabouts of five protesters is unknown; the detained Bagaudin Khautiev among them.
On March 26, residents of Ingushetia, without the authorities' sanction, extended the action in a square of Magas, which on the next day led to clashes with law enforcers. According to the Ingush Investigating Committee, ten law enforcers were injured.
Earlier, on March 26, members of the Ingush community in Moscow held three solo pickets and also demanded the resignation of the head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Evkurov.
