Chechen residents treat local TV's report as reaction to Tumso Abdurakhmanov's criticism
The Chechen TV released a story about relatives of Alam Khadjaev, who left the republic after a resonant road traffic accident with his participation in 2016. In the TV story, the Khadjaevs speak about their voluntary decision to leave Chechnya and criticize a blogger who called their departure forced. The criticism is addressed to Tumso Abdurakhmanov, residents of Chechnya believe.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 28, 2016, in Chechnya, seven persons were killed in a road traffic accident on the "Caucasus" highway. Driver Alam Khadjaev was found guilty of the accident, and witnesses testified that he was drunk. Soon after the accident, it became known that all the men of his family left their village. Alam Khadjaev was killed in the accident.
According to the TV report, relatives of the killed persons declared blood feud to the family of Alam Khadjaev, and the Khadjaevs themselves decided to leave the republic "for reasons of conscience," but later returned home.
Alavdi Khadjaev, a father of Alam Khadjaev, noted that Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov personally participated in reconciliation of the two families and thanks to him the conflict was settled.
The author of the TV story refers to the "opposition blogger." Residents of Chechnya believe that this is about Tumso Abdurakhmanov, since he actively reminded people about the fate of the Alam Khadjaev's relatives.
In October 2018, the blogger stated that the authorities did not allow the relatives of the victims and the driver guilty of the road traffic accident to settle the conflict on their own and "forced all the men of the Khadjaev family to leave the republic."
