Residents of Chechnya report being obliged to attend football match
Public employees and students were obliged to attend a match of the "Akhmat" FC in Grozny, and they were to express their active support to the football club, residents of Chechnya reported.
On April 13, in Grozny, the "Akhmat" FC lost to the "Lokomotiv" FC from Moscow.
Student Islam said his group had received strict instructions to attend the match. Meanwhile, it was forbidden to leave the stadium until the end of the match.
"We had to actively chant and support our football team at the stadium. Our support didn't help much, the 'Akhmat' FC was defeated," noted student Aslambek.
It was the second time in a row when the "Akhmat" FC was defeated by guests on its domestic field.
