In Ingushetia, law enforcers cordon off house of rights defender Magomed Mutsolgov

Today, law enforcers have come to Ingush human rights defender Magomed Mutsolgov and the office of the NGO "Mashr" led by him.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 27, Magomed Mutsolgov attended a rally in Magas and stayed together with protesters.

Magomed Mutsolgov reported on his Facebook about the law enforcers' visit. "My house and office in Karabulak is cordoned off by law enforcers. The most important thing is that they are not able to intimidate the people of Ingushetia, and the victory will be ours," the human rights defender wrote.

Searches are being conducted at the Magomed Mutsolgov's house and office, the "FortangaORG" Telegram channel reports. "They accumulated a large number of armoured vehicles there," states the report.

In the period from April 2 to April 11, at least 40 Ingush oppositionists were detained.

  • Compensation decrease for illegal prosecution violates rights of KBR resident

The court ruling, which awarded Madin Gubzhokov compensation of 30,000 roubles for unlawful criminal prosecution, is incomparable with the moral harm caused by the actions of Azamat Kyaov, a former law enforcer. The amount is ridiculous and should be appealed against, lawyers and human rights defenders have stated.
