Ingush activist detained at Minsk airport

Today, Ismail Nalgiev, the coordinator of the NGO "Choice of Ingushetia", has been detained at the Minsk airport, from where he planned to fly to the Czech Republic.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 17, Ismail Nalgiev, the coordinator of the NGO "Choice of Ingushetia", one of the initiators of a new rally in Ingushetia, reported that delegates of the authorities had called the organizers of the rally, visited them at home, and tried to influence them through relatives to persuade them to retract the notification about the action.

An hour before his departure, after he had already passed the registration and border procedure, Ismail Nalgiev, who today at 12:20 a.m. Moscow time was supposed to fly from Minsk to Prague, was detained by customs officers who said he was on the wanted list, the "Caucasian Knot" was told by an informed source.

"Ismail is one of the leaders of the people's protest in Ingushetia," reported the source. He has suggested that Ismail Nalgiev is being persecuted for political reasons.

Today, on his page, Ruslan Mutsolgov, the head of the "Yabloko" Party branch in Ingushetia, has also confirmed the information about the Ismail Nalgiev's detention at the airport in Minsk.
