Saakashvili proved to be unpopular upon his return to Ukraine
In Ukraine, the rating of the former Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili is only 2.9%.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 28, the newly elected President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, signed a decree on the return of Ukrainian citizenship to Mikhail Saakashvili, which allowed him to continue his political activities in the country.
Saakashvili received the citizenship of Ukraine in 2015, and in July 2017, was deprived thereof under the pretext of having provided false data for obtaining a passport.
However, according to the polling conducted by the "Social Monitoring" Centre and the Ukrainian Institute of Social Studies, the rating of the leader of the "Rukh of New Forces" Party, Mikhail Saakashvili, is 2.9%, the UNIAN reported on July 17. The "Rukh of New Forces" Party is not included in any of the ratings as of July 18, published on the "Ukraine Elections" website.
The Mikhail Saakashvili's party has no chance to enter the Ukrainian parliament at the July 21 elections, Alexei Yakubin, a political analyst, has stated. "During his previous years in Ukraine, Saakashvili had largely lost the areola of a reformer and the 'centre of hope' that he had in 2014," the "GolosUA" quoted Mr Yakubin as saying on May 30.
