Kadyrov outraged by Israeli authorities' call not to visit Chechnya

The call of Israeli authorities to abandon trips to Chechnya is absurd, since there are no terrorists in the republic; and Israeli citizens visit the region daily, said Ramzan Kadyrov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Israeli counterterrorism headquarters awarded Chechnya with the highest level of threat and urged residents of the country to avoid travelling to this republic.

Ramzan Kadyrov has reacted to the headquarters' warning by treating it as "absurd." Its author was guided by incorrect data when indicating that the republic's population was fighting for independence from the Russian authorities, the head of Chechnya has noted.

He also contested allegations of terrorist activeness in Chechnya. "There are no and never will be any terrorist organizations in Chechnya! Chechnya is the most stable and secure region in the world. [...] Most likely, the author of the appeal used information from dubious sources; he doesn't know the real situation. Therefore, I personally invite him to Chechnya and suggest to see everything with his own eyes," Ramzan Kadyrov wrote today in his Telegram channel.

He has added that "Israeli citizens visit Grozny every day" and "return here again and again; they want to do business and travel." These data are at odds with the information of tourism industry professionals – according to their information, the share of tourists from Israel in Chechnya is insignificant.
