Azerbaijan: excavator operator killed in shelling

The operator, who died as a result of the shelling, worked the road construction in the area of the troops contact line in the conflict zone.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 2, a contract soldier was wounded in the Tavush Region of Armenia.

In the evening on October 2, in the Gazakh Distinct, in the vicinity of the village of Guschu Airym, Armenian militaries shelled the excavator, which was laying support roads, the State Frontier Service (SFS) Azerbaijan has stated.

As a result, Safarali Abyshov, the operator of the excavator was wounded; and doctors could not save him.

A return fire was opened; the opponent was forced to stop the fire, states the SFS' report.

Let us remind you that on October 1, Azerbaijani law enforcers reported that they had suppressed attempts of sabotage groups to penetrate into the territory of Azerbaijan. The Armenian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has refuted the statement.
