Mother of person who died from torture in Ingushetia adjudges 1.5 million from MIA

The mother of Magomed Doliev, whose death was imputed on employees of the Ingush "E" Centre, has disagreed with the awarded compensation since she demanded ten times more.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 16, 2019, Lemka Dolieva, Magomed's mother, filed a lawsuit demanding compensation of 15 million roubles.

In October 2018, the court upheld the verdict to Timur Khamkhoev, the head of the Ingush "E" Centre, and his subordinates, convicted within the case of torturing detainees, in particular, the 50-year-old Magomed Daliev, who died on July 16, 2016.

On October 21, the Magas District Court of Ingushetia partially satisfied the 78-year-old mother's lawsuit. "The judge reduced the amount of compensation for moral harm that we had claimed by 10 times; and we'll appeal against this ruling at the higher court," Andrei Sabinin, the advocate for Lemka Dolieva, said in his message available at the "Caucasian Knot".
