Two Ingush protest leaders turn to ECtHR

The advocates of Musa Malsagov, the head of the Ingush branch of the Russian Red Cross, and Barakh Chemurziev, the chairman of the public movement "Support of Ingushetia", arrested within the case of the March rally in Magas, have reported to the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) about the violation of their clients' rights.

The fact that the advocates of the "Legal Initiative" project have sent complaints to the ECtHR was reported by Ksenia Babich, the press secretary of the project.

The complaints state violations of the right to liberty and personal immunity, the right to a fair trial, a restriction of the freedom of assembly and association, as well as violations of the following articles of the European Convention of Human Rights (ECHR): "Limits on the use of restrictions on rights" and "Individual complaints", the "MBKh Media" reported on November 8.

The Ingush activists are prosecuted after the March 26 rally in Magas, which was accompanied by clashes with law enforcers.
