Azerbaijan reports sniper attacks in Karabakh conflict zone

The Azerbaijani positions in the Karabakh conflict zone and in two villages on the border with Armenia were shelled 21 times within 24 hours, including from sniper rifles, Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan reports today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 21, the Azerbaijani MoD claimed 22 shelling attacks on its positions within 24 hours, while a day earlier it claimed of 23 shelling attacks.

The ceasefire was violated 21 times within 24 hours, including from sniper rifles, the press service of the Azerbaijani MoD reports today.

According to the Azerbaijani MoD, the positions of the Azerbaijani troops were shelled, in particular, from the "Noyemberyan District" of Armenia and from the territories controlled by the authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh. The Azerbaijani positions in the village of Gushchu Airym in the Gazakh District and in the village of Zamanly in Gadabay District came under fire, the Azerbaijani MoD reports on its official website.

Till present, the Ministries of Defence of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh have not yet posted on their official websites any comments on the statement released by the Azerbaijani MoD.
