Caucasian women ask President Putin to return their daughters and grandchildren from Syria

Mothers and other close relatives of Russian female citizens who stay in the zone of armed conflict in the Middle East appeal to President Putin with a request to return home their daughters and grandchildren.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that after the start of the military operation by the Turkish troops, women from Northern Caucasus with children who stay in a camp in Syria, fear for their lives and ask to evacuate them from the frontline zone, a female relative of one of the Caucasian women reported on October 16. Starting from mid-October, the women stopped contacting their relatives.

On December 2, relatives of the Russian female citizens who left with their children for the zone of armed conflict in the Middle East, sent an appeal to the Presidential Administration of Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to help them return women and children to their homeland. The letter was signed by about 2000 people. They handed a copy of the appeal to the "Caucasian Knot".

The authors of the appeal to the Russian President take the blame for the gaps in the upbringing that could cause the departure of the young women to Syria and Iraq, but ask for leniency for them. According to the mothers, most of the young women became hostages of the situation and had to leave with their husbands for fear to be separated from their children. The mothers also ask the Russian President for compassion for minor children who cannot be held responsible for the mistakes of their parents.
