Woman from Caucasus reports whereabouts of her female compatriots in Syria

Female citizens of Russia who left the Ayn Issa camp during the retreat of the Kurdish Peshmerga forcers are held captive by the Syrian opposition, reports a woman from Northern Caucasus.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that after the start of the operation of the Turkish troops in Syria, female natives of Northern Caucasus with children who stayed in the camp in Syria, asked to evacuate them, said a female relative of one of the women. Female natives of Dagestan and Chechnya also stay in the camp, and starting from the middle of October, they stopped contacting their relatives.

One of the female natives of Northern Caucasus used WhatsApp to contact her relatives and told them that the women who had left the camp after the retreat of the Kurdish militants were held captive by the Syrian opposition forces in a small city in Syria.

About 12,000 people stayed in the Ayn Issa camp, including about 1000 women and children from the families of alleged militants of the "Islamic State" (IS), a terrorist organization banned in Russia by the court.

The women with children moved to a neighbouring Arab camp, but one day later it also began to prepare for evacuation, reported a female relative of one of the Russian citizens staying in Syria. According to the woman, they reached the Turkish border, and later they were put in prison in a small Syrian town.
