Kadyrov's relative changes his post in MIA to chair of district head
On December 17, Sakhab Zakriev, the former chief of the Migration Department at the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Chechnya, who is a brother of a husband of a Ramzan Kadyrov's sister, was approved by delegates of the Gudermes District as the head of the local administration.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the period from 2006 to 2013, Sakhab Zakriev worked as the chief of the administration of the leader and government of Chechnya, and in March 2014, he was appointed the chief of the Chechen Department of the Federal Migration Service (FMS). He is a brother of Salman Zakriev, a husband of a Ramzan Kadyrov's sister.
On December 17, the Council of Delegates of the Gudermes District elected Sakhab Zakriev the head of the local administration. "All delegates ‑ 21 people ‑ unanimously supported his candidacy," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been informed by the local administration today.
In Chechnya, almost the entire management system is affiliated with Ramzan Kadyrov and people close to him. According to estimates run by the BBC Russian Service, in Chechnya, out of 158 top-ranking officials, 30% are relatives of Ramzan Kadyrov, 23% are his fellow villagers, and other 12% are friends of the Chechen leader and their relatives. Political analysts believe the personnel policy of the Chechen leader is aimed at strengthening the position of his family and promoting the interests of the Kadyrov clan.
