Chechen MP forces extortionists to apologize to blogger Davidych
Blogger Erik Kituashvili, who complained of extortionists who called themselves "Kadyrov's people," announced a solution to the problem after meeting with Adam Delimkhanov, a State Duma member from Chechnya, on December 23.
"The situation was decided at lightning speed ... The people in question admitted they were wrong and apologized. I believe that after the today's conversation, a series of extortions has stopped," the blogger wrote on Instagram.
Earlier, on the air of the "360 Degrees" TV Channel, Erik Kituashvili has claimed that a grouping of criminals was extorting money from bloggers. According to the blogger, the extortionists represent themselves as "Kadyrov's people." Erik Kituashvili reported that they were extorting 25 million roubles and threatening him with murder.
Instagram users pointed out a lot of understatements in the post of Erik Kituashvili and expressed their concern that the extortionists would evade criminal liability.
