Protesters at Abkhaz Parliament announce their action round-the-clock one

In Sukhumi, protesters have refused to interrupt their action demanding to adopt the anti-corruption law.

On February 4, an action was launched in front of the Parliament of Abkhazia, demanding to adopt the anti-corruption law in final reading prior to presidential election. Djansukh Adleiba, the initiator of the action, has noted that the law should be considered in two more readings, but after the public has ceased insisting, the MPs began postponing the consideration thereof.

Five tourist tents have been set up in the square in front of the Abkhazian Parliament in Sukhumi, in which the members of the protesters' initiative group plan to spend the nights until an anti-corruption law is adopted by the MPs, Mr Adleiba told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

He said that MPs came out to the protesters and asked to stop the protest and disperse until the February 6 session, but activists refused to obey. "You shouldn't negotiate with us; we want only one thing from you – to ratify the convention and adopt the anti-corruption law; then, we'll disperse," said Djansukh Adleiba.
