Baksan woman claims threats received from VBON members

Zalina Marshenkulova, a journalist and an activist from the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), has turned to human rights defenders because of the threats she received on behalf of the community "For the Good of the Common People" (known as VBON).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that VBON members assert that stand for the traditional values of the Azerbaijani nation, conduct charity activities and urge people to live in accordance with Azerbaijani traditions.

According to Ms Marshenkulova, she began receiving threats in social networks after she wrote a post in support of the actresses from the clip of the lead singer of the "Rammstein" group in her Telegram channel "Women's Power".

After participating in the porn clip filmed in Saint Petersburg by Till Lindemann, the "Rammstein" soloist, more than 20 actresses began receiving threats, the "Fontanka" wrote on February 19.

According to Marshenkulova, for the video with her execution, the VBON community in its Telegram channel offered a reward of 120,000 roubles.

"Marshenkulova is preparing an application to the police with a demand to conduct a check and institute a criminal case for the threat of murder received by her," says the message of the "Agora" human rights group, where Marshenkulova turned in connection with numerous threats.
