Because of coronavirus, Georgia imposes entry restrictions for European residents

The Georgian authorities have introduced a mandatory confirmation of the absence of a coronavirus infection for travellers from Germany, France, Austria and Spain. The respective ministries have switched over to the round-the-clock emergency regime, Giorgi Gakhariya, the Georgian Prime Minister, has announced.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since March 12, the Georgian MPs are under remote working regime; the number of people infected with coronavirus in the country is now 24.

All the Georgian citizens returning from Germany, France, Austria and Spain will undergo a 14-day quarantine regime, while foreign citizens entering Georgia from these countries must provide a medical certificate about passing the coronavirus test or undergo a two-week quarantine, Giorgi Gakhariya announced on air of the "Public Broadcaster" TV Channel.

The Prime Minister called the observance by citizens of self-isolation rules to be the key element in the coronavirus prevention. He called on the police to take an active part in the observance thereof, the "Rustavi-2" TV Channel has reported.

Mr Gakhariya has also recommended that all the organizations in Georgia transfer their employees to the remote working regime, the "Sputnik-Georgia" reports.
