NKR accuses Azerbaijan of 250 shelling attacks during week

Since March 15, Azerbaijani soldiers fired more than 1900 shots at positions of the Defence Army, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) has informed today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 8-14, the NKR counted 230 shelling attacks of its positions.

"On March 15-21, the Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire for about 250 times on the contact line of the armed forces of the Republic of Artsakh (the historical name of the NKR, – note of the "Caucasian Knot") and Azerbaijan, by firing more than 1900 shots at the Armenian positions from various-calibre rifles," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has translated the press service of the NKR's MoD.

By 12:20 a.m. Moscow time on March 21, the Azerbaijani MoD had not posted any comments to this statement on its website. Moreover, according to the calculations of the "Caucasian Knot", on March 15-21, Azerbaijan announced 176 shelling cases of its positions by Armenia and from the territories controlled by the NKR's authorities. Over the past 24 hours alone, the Azerbaijani side counted 30 shelling attacks.
