Law enforcers collected believers' data during raid at "Tangim" Mosque in Dagestan

At the "Tangim" Mosque in Makhachkala, law enforcers stopped parishioners and copied their personal data. Believers pointed to a reduction in the number of participants in the Friday prayer, linking it with the threat of coronavirus spread.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that law enforcers are holding regular Friday raids in the vicinity of the "Tangim" Mosque. However, despite the raids and coronavirus, the mosque parish has not diminished, believers assert.

On March 16, the Russian Spiritual Administration of Muslims (SAM) recommended to limit visits to mosques because of the threat of coronavirus.

At this Friday prayer, the number of believers was fewer that at the previous one (on March 21), said Magomed, a parishioner. He has suggested that the number of believers at Friday prayers will go down in the future.
