Authorities of South Ossetia organize transportation of their citizens from Russia

In Tskhinvali, the first group of 10 people who arrived from Russia was placed to a hospital under the coronavirus quarantine.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 28, because of the threat of the coronavirus infection spread, the authorities of South Ossetia imposed quarantine measures for two weeks and later extended them till April 20. Starting from April 2, the authorities decided to limit the passage through the border with Russia and allowed local residents to return home.

On April 13, at a meeting of the headquarters for the prevention of the importation and spread of the coronavirus infection, Anatoly Bibilov, the leader of South Ossetia, announced that citizens of the republic who could not return home through the Russian-South-Ossetian border because of the temporary restrictions on the movement of vehicles would be able to return to their homeland with the assistance of the Consular Agency of the South-Ossetian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).

According to Anatoly Bibilov, on April 14, the first group of 10 people who arrived from Russia was placed to a hospital. In total, the hospital prepared 56 beds.
