Eastern Georgia is under strict quarantine due to coronavirus

On April 26, the Tetritskaro municipality in the Kvemo Kartli Region was closed for quarantine. Block posts have been deployed at entrances thereto, Shota Rekhviashvili, the state representative of Kvemo Kartli, told the "Rustavi-2" TV Company, whose words were translated by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

At the same time, according to his story, the closing of municipality villages is not planned yet. "We decided to close the municipality centre to limit contacts as much as possible and take all the necessary prophylactic measures to prevent the infection spread," Mr Rekhviashvili has added.

According to Paata Imnadze, Director of the National Centre for Disease Control, in Tetritskaro, 20 coronavirus cases were revealed – most of them are medics.
