Public transport completely stopped in Chechnya

The republic's authorities have announced a complete shutdown of the urban public transport in connection with the spread of coronavirus infection.

Throughout the holiday weekend, until May 11, 2020, inclusive, the public transport in Chechnya will be at a stall, says the release posted on May 1 in the website of the Chechen Ministry of Transports. The authors of the release have called on residents of Chechnya to observe the self-isolation regime and stay at home.

Let us remind you that since April 13, residents of Chechnya are forbidden to leave home without a special permit; each family has six hours a week for shopping. At the same time, on April 27, Ramzan Kadyrov announced a possible step-by-step lifting of restrictive measures in Chechnya.
