Two colleagues of killed NKR soldier detained

Two military servicemen have been detained within the case of the death of Sasun Margaryan, a conscript. The investigation is under the articles on violation of statutory relations and bringing to suicide.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Sasun Margaryan, born in 2001, a conscript soldier of the Defence Army of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), died from a gunshot wound. The incident, according to the NKR's Ministry of Defence (MoD), occurred on May 10.

A lieutenant and a junior sergeant have been detained within the case of Margaryan's death at his military post in the NKR. The lieutenant was detained under Article 358.1 (committing violent acts or the threat of committing them in relation to one's subordinate) of the Armenian Criminal Code, the "Sputnik Armenia" quotes the Special Investigating Service (SIS) of Armenia as reporting.

The junior sergeant has been detained on suspicion of violating the statutory interrelations of military personnel, bringing a serviceman to suicide by negligence while on combat duty or at military service, and for committing violent acts or a threat of committing them in relation to one's subordinate, the "Armenpress" reports.
