Residents of Chechnya surprised at permit to pay Zyakat and Al-Kaffarah before end of Ramadan
Believers may start paying obligatory donations in the context of the end of Ramadan and alms for the missed days of fasting, as part of the permissive control system in force in the republic due to the epidemic, the Mufti of Chechnya has stated.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 24, the holy Muslim month of Ramadan began, which will end with the welcoming of Eid al-Fitr. There will be no collective namaz (prayer) in mosques because of coronavirus. Believers have noted on the Instagram that they had hoped for an ease of restrictions on the occasion of the holiday.
Believers in Chechnya may start the mandatory Zyakat al-Fitr and Al-Kaffarah without waiting for the end of fasting, Salakh Mezhiev, the Mufti of Chechnya, has written on the Instagram page of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims (SAM, or Muftiate) of Chechnya.
Since April 13, residents of Chechnya are forbidden to leave their homes without special permits.
Believers were surprised at the permissions to pay the Zyakat al-Fitr and Al-Kaffarah before the end of Ramadan.
"Earlier, it was the custom to spread the Zyakat al-Fitr and Al-Kaffarah after the announcement of the end of the last day of Ramadan. Now, it turns out that Zyakat al-Fitr can be done on any day of Ramadan ... I haven't heard of such a thing before," said Suleiman.
In his turn, Viskhan, a resident of Grozny, believes that given the situation, such a measure is entirely justified.
