In January 2020, there were no victims of armed conflict in Northern Caucasus

In January 2020, during the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus, no information was received about casualties and wounded persons. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from open sources.

The statistics cited cannot accurately reflect the number of victims. Not all the data gets into news bulletins. It is not always possible to check how true the statements of law enforcement bodies are; and new data on the events that happened during the reporting period sometimes become known after the publication of statistics on the "Caucasian Knot".

In none of the regions of Northern Caucasus, which include Dagestan, Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, North Ossetia-Alania, Stavropol Territory and Chechnya, there were no victims of armed conflict in January 2020.

  • Analysts assess Dagestani head’s statement on appeals of SMO fighters

The appeals of the participants of the special military operation (SMO) in Ukraine from Dagestan to republic’s authorities are caused by many local problems and remain one of the ways to attract officials’ attention.
