Case on Regina Gagieva's murder sent to court
The Prosecutor's Office of North Ossetia approved the charges brought against Vadim Tekhov. In addition to the charge of his former wife's murder, the defendant is accused of beatings, death threats, attempted murder, and robbery.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in September 2019, Regina Gagieva, a 22-year-old resident of Vladikavkaz, got stab wounds and died in a hospital a week later. According to investigators, the woman was murdered by her former husband who escaped from house arrest and attacked his former wife out of jealousy.
The Prosecutor's Office of North Ossetia approved the indictment against Vadim Tekhov, a 32-year-old resident of Vladikavkaz. The defendant was charged under five articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the Prosecutor's Office of North Ossetia reports today.
In particular, Vadim Tekhov is accused of attacking two men near a bar in Vladikavkaz on November 3, 2018. The men got stab wounds.
According to the Prosecutor's Office of North Ossetia, on September 18, 2019, the defendant, who was supposed to be under house arrest, came to the working place of his former wife. During a quarrel caused by his jealousy, Vadim Tekhov stabbed the young woman with a knife for more than 15 times and fled the scene, the Prosecutor's Office of North Ossetia reports. Regina Gagieva never regained consciousness again and died several days later in a hospital.
